Welcome to the website of the A.B.T.I.
Our Association was formed in 1992 and its aims are to promote and develop the sport of baton twirling in Ireland. Our Association offers assistance to all member clubs, athletes, judges and coaches who are interested in pursuing the sport.
ABTI joined the Confederation Europeenne de Twirling Baton (C.E.T.B) in 1995 becoming its 10th member, and at present CETB has 15 member countries. In 2003 Ireland successfully hosted the CETB competitions in Gormanston, Co. Meath.
In 2007 an alliance of baton twirlers and majorettes was formed under the name of the Irish Alliance of Baton Twirling and Majorettes, (IABTM).
The members of the alliance are as follows: ABTI, International Baton Twirling
Association (Irish Members) IBTA and the Irish Majorette Association (IMA). It is our vision for the future that this Alliance will be instrumental in developing the sports in Ireland.
